Here's a little peek into nat's life!

I was waddling, like a heavily pregnant woman, off the bus with my cello in front of me. I haven't had my feet firmly planted on the ground when this uncle dashed across me, running frantically for the bus which was still waiting for me to get off. The shock sent an impact so huge that I lost my balance a little as I wobbled for a fraction of a second.

Nobody looks left, right and left again before alighting from the bus, do they?

Maybe I should start doing that.

In case I get trampled over by aunties and uncles running, waving, huffing and puffing after a bus that is still stationary.

Anyway, I felt like I was going for my first interview when Luwena requested for me to meet her at her office at CBD.

I ran to catch the lift and I was greeted with a lift full of male execs dressed impeccably in their (designer) suits. I felt so out of place in my skirt and polo tee and flip flops.

I walked into Luwena's company feeling small and insignificant. I nearly fainted in awe. When the receptionist smiled questioningly, trust me to say something stupid, like the following,

"Hi. I don't know if I've got the place right. But I'm looking for Luwena."

The receptionist buzzed Luwena and I was instructed to wait in "Meeting Room 1" and I was brought a cup of the humble MILO! I was busying myself by studying the impressive state of the art decor when Luwena's colleague came over, introduced himself as Anson Loh and shook my hand warmly, accompanied with a winning smile and a polite "nice to meet you".

NO ONE HAS EVER SAID "NICE TO MEET YOU" TO ME BEFORE!

I was stunned and I said something stupid again.

"Uh. I'm here to look for Luwena."

I was actually formulating my words (Hi, nice to meet you too mr loh, I'm natasha.) but apparently my mouth reacted faster than my mind and that crap came out.

Way to go, nat.

You did a great job at leaving an impression with your flip flops and stupid answers.
