Mei's not mad at me. (:
She's been quite bitchy recently; but I understand why now. Her smses make me laugh, because they're extremely long and hilarious. I received her message and before I can actually read it, my screen goes into spasms of "Updating message" for about 7 times, before it goes back to normal.
If she omitted all her smileys, I think her message length would've been halved!
We were quite sian, walking around Orchard and talking about our lives. We bumped into Syaz and Ceri and a whole lot of vj people collecting donations. Stopped to take a photo, gossip for about 2 minutes and continued walking around aimlessly.
When we got to the mrt station, instead of rushing for the train like everyone else, we rushed to get seats and wait for the next train. That was so aunty-ish, but at that moment nothing else mattered except our feet. XD
Anyhows, I know that if things dont work the way I want them too, I guess I dont have to make a big deal out of it.
I'm reminded of the last night at Bangkok during the camp last year, when I was so sad, when I actually told uncle jimmy to leave me alone because if I heard him talk I would cry, and when I just wanted to be back home instead of receiving "how r u pls call home" smses from my dear mother.
I wrote my super long wish/prayer on the khom loy, lighted it, and released it into the night sky along with hundreds of other khom loys with so much hope that 2008 would be a happy year for me.
My wishes weren't granted at all, my prayers not answered. In fact, upon hindsight 5 months on, things turned out differently, but so much better in the end. (:
So now, everytime I feel disappointed; when things just aren't going the way I want them too, even if they're minute and not worth me losing sleep over yet they affect me so much, I just have to keep remembering that night, and keep going.
And for the record, it was a beautiful sight; to see lighted khom loys carrying different wishes float up and light up the night sky. I didn't bother taking any photos, because no camera could ever capture the beauty of that moment which was so darned near perfect. (:
I have no idea why this memory was triggered. And here I am trying to relive it. Haha.
Oh well.
