I just have to do this.
The many ways people pronounce my name.
NAH-TEH-SHEA. Miss Lee has been calling me this since sec one. It irked me in the beginning, but I guess I'm used to it now.
NA-TA-SSA. Congfen calls me that, but honestly, I don't really mind cos I know she has problems with H. =/
NA-TA-SYA. I can't stand this indonesian pronounciation. I've since stopped trying to correct auntie cherry, because every year, the christmas card is still addressed to "NATASYA". And besides, she gave birth to JOSH! I forgive and forget. =)
NE-TA-SHIA. Supposedly the ang-moh pronounciation. I have no idea how to spell it. The people who say it best are all my piano examiners and auntie jean!
NA-TAH-SHAR. The very singaporean way of pronouncing it. Not very nice on the ears.
NAT. Pronounced
NUT.NAT. Pronounced
NET. Other than all these weird ways of pronouncing my name, I'm otherwise also known as,
NATBALL. Don't ask. Somehow it came about in china? And it stuck.
TURAMBI. Only Chin Yixiu calls me that. Not many people know how to pronounce it. Let me teach you, TOO-RUM-BEE. Haha, imagine if my surname were to be spelt like that!
TASHA. Reserved for family only. (And a few friends who like to imitate my mom when she yells for me.)
Oh hell.
Just call me
NAT okay?
The
NUT one.
I like it better.
Thank you very much.
You want to call me beautiful also can.
