We all had fun, momentarily forgetting that we had to say goodbye.
My eyes began to burn when I noticed Sonia sobbing silently.
I knew I would cry too, if I looked into those tear-filled eyes.
All I could do was quicken my pace, and walk away.
The bus was waiting, and the harsh reality hit.
They were leaving.
Slowly but surely, the china girls began crying.
The ever so cheery Chen Wei had tears shimmering in her eyes as she gathered me in her arms for one final hug.
Marica, my dearest partner, hugged me and pecked me on the cheek. She didn't cry, and she made me promise her to pass all my papers. I'm proud of her, and I won't let her down!
After a thousand hugs later, the bus engines jumped to life, and the bus doors clamped shut. My heart leaped, and my throat constricted. The china girls were openly crying, and I furiously blinked back the tears.
We waved till the bus left, and the tears threatened to fall when ivy ran after the bus, just because she missed the chance of saying goodbye to her partner.
Goodbye's a part of life.
Sadness is human nature.
All that's left, are memories.
