If there was any one thing that I unconciously do, it definitely has to be people watch.
Today's targets were Mr and Mrs Smith. Leroy and Jennifer Smith. It you thought it was John and Jane Smith, go knock your head on the wall.
They joined us during lesson study, and Rudy made us intro ourselves. Ho-hum. Both Leroy and Jennifer were sitting side by side, but there wasn't any indication that they were a couple, or even married. Anyway, when it came round to Leroy's turn, he went on to say that he was from South Africa (Cape Town) and that he's on vacation.
btw, i love his voice, and that accent!Now, Jennifer sets the tone for their relationship. She begins her introduction with, "I'm Che-nnifer (Jennifer) and this is my
husband.
Pauses to flash a brief smile at her Leroy. I'm from Korea, and I'm on vacation with my
husband. "
Notice the way Jennifer refers to Leroy. While Leroy makes no reference to his wife at all.
Let's fast forward to the end of the lesson. While we all stood up to have closing prayer, Jennifer reached for Leroy's hand and they held hands throughout the prayer. From the way they hold hands constantly throughout the day, I thereby conclude that they DO HAVE an intimate relationship.
Okay, that sounds like an Lit essay.
Time for some shut eye before I begin my torturous date with Mr History Textbook.
