Joy to the world! I'm back from Kuching.
Kuching feels so much like home. I feel so fortunate to be part of such a large family!
Alot of unknown people (to me) came to send rita (and me) off at the airport. I only know Andy. That guy that can speak chinese. =)
And I met rita's long time
lover, Richard. We were laughing over his amusing
love letter on the plane. When we got off the plane at JB, rita was like
"let's go back to kuching with all these people." , gesturing towards the people in the departing hall area. I
so wanted to go back.
Ate lots of Kuching food.
Char kueh, kueh salat (dunno how to spell), kolo mee, laksa, andaujialut (?!?!) etc.Went to church; the Christmas Cantata this year was, sadly, disappointing. Or was it because that ever so familiar face was missing from the choir?
I guess so. Anyway, I was so darn disappointed but I fought hard not to show it. Walked over to uncle wilfred who then brought me to auntie siew moi and then to grace and then to all those people who say "
rebecca eh kia ar?" most of whom i don't know, but i have to keep a smile plastered on my face. TIRING. I wanted to go to church yesterday, cause I knew
that person would be there. What's more, I didn't have to go to the airport till 12. But I didn't go in the end.
DAMN MYSELF TO HELL.On a happier note, today is christmas!
